In preparation for the exhibit Bent on Art, the Fernie Museum will host a night of creativity and carousing as members of Fernie’s LGBTQ community gather to express their queer identity through art. The works created will be shown as part of the Above Ground pop-up exhibit hosted by the Fernie Museum from September 27 to October 14 and later be available to take home.

No previous artistic experience is required! Our artist-in-residence for the night will be Dan Whillans, who will lead participants through the process of creating their own self portrait. Registration fee is $20 and includes supplies, wine and spirits to get the creative process flowing, and nibblies.

Fee is $20 and includes supplies and a glass of wine. Pre-registration is required by phoning the museum, in person at the Fernie Museum, or online by September 11 to ensure supplies are available for all participants.
