On October 21, 1918, the Morrissey Internment Camp closed, bringing an end to one of the Elk Valley’s darkest chapters. On October 21, 2018 – 100 years ago to the day – a series of events will be held to commemorate the closing of the camp.
MOVIE | Armistice Films and the Fernie Museum, in partnership with the Canadian First World War Internment Recognition Fund, will show the documentary That Never Happened at the Vogue Theatre from 5:00 to 6:15 pm. Movie tickets are $10 online or at the door. Doors open at 4:15 pm, movie begins at 5:00 pm.
