Your Support Makes A Difference

Invest In Our Community

Support Fernie’s art, culture and heritage and the preservation of local history and legacy through the Fernie Museum.

Our aim is to be a cultural and community hub that fosters connections within our community and welcomes visitors. We offer our gratitude for the land on which we live and recreate as the homeland of the Ktunaxa.

Only 40% of our operational funding is supplied by government grants and support. The majority of our operating revenue is generated by admissions and memberships, sales in the museum shop, and fundraising. With the help of our partners and supporters, the Fernie Museum provides thousands of visitors with engaging arts and culture experiences each year. Building a vibrant and welcoming community celebrating Fernie’s arts, culture and heritage — inside and outside the Museum — begins with you.

Become A Member

Our members are inspired by history, art, and community and wish to cherish and share our connection to the past as we move into the future. When someone invests in a membership, they are supporting the heritage, arts, and culture at its most fundamental level.

Other Ways to Support the Fernie Museum

We are slowly returning to normal programming, as COVID-19 restrictions allow. Our gallery is once again featuring exciting exhibits, and this summer, we will return to offering Walking Tours.

Our usual annual programming includes creative workshops, cultural talks, artist presentations, gala receptions, interactive events and much more. Watch for announcements on our social media pages.

The Trites & Wood Museum Gift Shop features a curated collection of jewellery, clothing, accessories, home décor, books, toys and stationery which represents Fernie’s geography, culture and heritage. All proceeds from the shop directly support our operations and programming. SHOP ONLINE

Whether behind the scenes or working with visitors, there are many opportunities to volunteer at the Fernie Museum. Please contact us if you wish to volunteer or inquire about volunteer opportunities.
